Q: My Pismo HATES Mac OS X...Why?

I have a Pismo 400 MHz. Mac OS 9 works great with it, however, OS X crashes/kernel panic anytime it is run on the system. I have had it boot off an iMac HD (via target disk mode) that is running 10.4.10. It will randomly crash. If trying to install OS X on to the internal HD, it will crash. I installed a copy of OS X on the internal HD (via an iBook & target DM). It would crash at random times. This makes me think it's a RAM issue. TechTool Pro 4 was able to boot and run. It found no issues. It also did crash after running the test solutions several times. In OS 9, I have run DIMM First Aid. It says the DIMMs checked out ok. Gauge PRO's memory test says the RAM is fine. Installed is the stock 64 MB chip in the lower slot and a 128 MB PC133 Kingston "ValueRAM" chip in the upper slot. I can't remove the 128 MB chip and have enough ram to boot OS X. I am planing on upping the RAM to 1 GB in time, but I want to sort out all the issues before investing the money. Any ideas?

P.S. It will crash with any version of OS X from 10.2 to 10.4...Runs great on OS 9!
