Is there any warranty for the iPhone or will there be one in the future? Any type of insurance program or anything at all? $400 is alot to spend w/out anything to back it up.

Apple has a 2 year warranty on their web site or in the store. Cost is around $70.00.

A one year warranty is standard with the iPhone and you can purchase an AppleCare extended warranty for the iPhone which is extends the standard warranty by another year - the extended warranty can be purchased anytime before the standard one year warranty expires.

AT&T does not offer insurance for the iPhone through their 3rd party carrier used for this but this can be covered by your homeowners or renters insurance.
