I was finally able to find this:
but I don't have web accelerator s/w, so this isn't helpful. Does anyone know where you can find the "temp" files iTunes stores until the entire podcast/song/whatever is downloaded?

    Look in Music\iTunes\iTunes Music\Downloads\Podcasts.

well at least it's not just me!

For quite a while now I've been getting the -3529 error message. I've tried deleting the podcast and resubscribing, I've tried repeatedly refreshing all to no avail.

    This is very frustrating!

Did you try the solution Apple gave me that worked: disabling your anti-virus temporarily? I found that if I disabled the a-v, started the podcast downloads, then enabled the a-v even while the downloading was in progress, they finished with no further problem. So I only had to turn off the a-v for a few seconds, which seemed safe enough. (I made sure I didn't have my email or browser on while I did that.)

I am having the exact same problem I have no download accelerator, I tried turning off my firewall and anti virus. Yet still I can download some episodes and get -39 on others. I may be able to get some episodes of podcasts and not others. It only happened after I updated to the latest itunes release.

I have also the -3259 problem when trying to download podcasts. I subscribe to some podcasts from the Swedish Radio (www.sr.se) It have worked fine until some days ago, around 20th of September. The whole site is very slow as well, not only the podcasts.

For me the problems seems to be my firewall/router which is a ZyWall5. When i disconnect it and plug my computer direct to the internet it goes fast, but when i go through my firewall/router it is slow, 0.5k/sec or less. I tried to download some random podcast i found on iTunes Music Store and it worked fine. But not the ones from the Swedish Radio. Their website also goes fast when i have the router/firewall disconnected.

The thing is that i have not done any configurations what so ever to my firewall/router for a very long time, but it has to be it that is the problem since it works fine when i disconnect it. Just need to find what the problem is.

Hi! I'm experiencing the same problem with any kind of podcasts since I downloaded the latest version of I-tunes. I tried to disable firewall and antivirus, to reinstall i-tunes, to subscribe and unsubscribe. No changes.
I downloaded the same podcasts easily with a previous version of i-tunes on my husband pc and then on my pc using google reader and it worked. The problem is versione 7.4

    Does anyone have any suggestions?
    many thanks

Same problem here. Error -50 and 404 on some podcasts, though the 404 is probably the same as a web 404 and just means that server died out or something. But I have several of my video podcasts that have ended up in my Podcast library that only contain the first 1/4 of the show. Very frustrating. I don't run any security software or web accelerator.

My podcasts start downloading but then after a short while just stop, no error message. Have been able to download some in the past, but mostly they just stop.

I've tried downloading the latest versions & updates of ITunes & Vista, also disabling anti-virus and firewall, parental controls are ok. Nothing so far has made any difference.

Notice my Podcasts folders is Read Only, have checked this off (incl sub folders) and retried, same result. (strangly when I looked it had become read only again).

Thought it was just my setup till I saw all the similar posts. Has anyone got any further suggestions?

Having same problem since update to latest version of iTunes. Error message-iTunes could not connect to the iTunes Store. An unknown error occurred (11333). Make sure your network connection is active and try again. And, There was a problem downloading "------" from the Master. The network connection could not be made.

Have not been able to download any podcasts since my latest iTunes update. I only use my hp pavilion laptop for iTunes haven't used it for anything else in 6 months. So makes since that the problem lies with the latest version of iTunes.

I am glad this is a common problem. I have found I can download 2-3MB at a time then it times out. It takes a few refreshes but I eventually get the podcast downloaded.

I think we should all deluge the iTunes supportdesk so they can get this fixed with and update.

If you go to each podcast and right click then select update it might download the entire podcast on its own. This worked for me last night. The only problem is that it takes longer because only one podcast is downloading at a time. It is a lot better then having to sit there and baby sit iTunes to download all my podcasts.

I get the same error message text but the error # is 3254. I run Kaspersky AV. I think that it is pretty arrogant of Apple to suggest that you turn off your AV software (McAfee or otherwise) just to make their software work right. I did a search of 3254 on this site and the closest thing I could find was an Open Transport error listing that said something about buffering issues. Don't know if it applies to iTunes or not but I AM able to dl my free podcasts if I shut down my web browser (Firefox), Outlook etc. I do leave Kaspersky running. I've opened the performance window via Task Manager and my memory, cpu, etc is not maxing out. I've got 1gb ram in the machine too. But the problem seems to be related to memory usage somehow although I couldn't say if it's my machine or iTunes.

Anyway, you might try shutting down as many other apps as you can while dl'g your podcasts and see if it helps. Long story as to why I am using iTunes 7.3.1 but let's just say that this version runs way better for me than 7.4.2 did.

I have also been having numerous problems with podcasts. When I try to subscribe to a podcast from the store, it usually starts downloading (sometimes not at all), then after a while it stops, and I get the error message 3259. If I unsubscribe and attempt to subscribe again from my "Podcasts" playlist, the download notification in the "Store" section of the menu on the left flashes for less than a second and disappears.

Also, when I try to download a single episode by clicking "Get Episode" on an episode in the store, the same problem- it flashes in the store section then just disappears.

So basically, I am not able to enjoy podcasts. These problems are extremely frustrating, and what is even more frustrating is that it is literally impossible to contact Apple via email, so I cant ask them directly how to solve these frustrating problems with their software.

Any help from any of you though, will be greatly appreciated.
