The time on my iPhone changes every time I put it in the doc; anyone else have this issue? How do I resolve it?

Powermac G5, Mac OS X (10.4.10)

Have you set your phones clock to the city/timezone you are in?

Yes... I've had my iPhone for a month now and this just started happening today. Also, I have verified that the time on my system is correct.

    Wafare,

Is it changing by 1 hour, or by more than 1 hour?

    Thank you,

    Nathan C.

It's all over the place without any consistency. Each time I place it in the dock it changes.

Sounds like you have too much time on your hands!!! Bada bump!! Couldn't resist.

Is it matching your time on your computer when it changes or something truely random?

Reset time possibly..and if that does not work, restore.

Random and I've already restored which didn't correct the problem. Looks like I'm going to have to take a trip the the Apple store.

    Wafare,

The iPhone gets its time updated from two sources - your computer, and the cellular towers.

Have you tried syncing to another computer to see if its getting erroneous data from the computer?

Try powering off your computer if its a Windows-based PC, and leaving it off for about 2 minutes. If you are using a USB hub, unplug it and leave it out of the connection when you try again.

If its a Mac try clearing the PRAM on the Mac, and reentering time zone and time information after you have cleared PRAM.

    Hope this helps,

    Nathan C.

On Windows if you left iTunes open when putting your machine to sleep when you wake then sync the time of the iphone would be changed to some apparently random value. Had this happen all the time but the good news is that it looks like iTunes 7.5 fixes this bug.

I don't sleep my Mac so don't know if the same problem exists there.
