OK. This is somewhat complicated. This is my first bought Mac (last was given to me with Jaguar), so I'm very familiar with everything, but don't know how to do things like set up a printer.
I have an HP PSC 500 (pretty old, I know) which I want to use as my printer. I'm not exactly sure if the driver is on my Mac, so that's one thing that would be useful to know. If not, where can I get it. www.hp.com does not have it for Macs.
Also, the printer is connected with parallel in the back. I'm using a WanTang Parallel to USB converter to plug it into my Mac, except its not recognized. Apple Help says that Apple did not test compatibility of printer drivers with all converter cables, so maybe that has something to do with it.
So here are my final questions:
1. Is there an HP PSC 500 Driver with Leopard? 2. If not where can I get it? 3. Should it be compatible with the converter cable?
