See if there is a checkmark by "use SSL"....
Uncheck the box and see if that works for you...iMac 17 (Core Duo), Mac Mini (Core Solo), MacBook (Core 2 Duo), Mac OS X (10.5.1)
Currently Being ModeratedDec 6, 2007 7:26 PM (in response to JimP mchs)I am having this same problem. It occurred to me that I haven't received a new email since Nov. 15th, so I logged into yahoo via firefox and I had a bunch of emails. What's weird is that Mail is tagging mails as being read, but not importing them. When I go to my mail account on yahoo, it shows all kinds of mails that are 'new' as having been read already.
What's important to note here is that I've never had a problem with mail, until November 15th. Which just so happens to be the day that 10.5.1 was released.Macbook, Mac OS X (10.5.1)

Mail activity shows messages from the server (i have quite a few!). If I go to account activity it shows all the messages are on the server but they are not being "downloaded". And the SSL uncheck suggestion didn't work.Powerbook G4, Mac OS X (10.4.8)

I tried doing a permission repair and it takes forever and a bunch of repair issues come up everytime..... Me thinks the update may be a contributing factor. Oh and get this: my iphone gets the mail with no problem at all!Powerbook G4, Mac OS X (10.4.8)
