Currently Being ModeratedJan 16, 2008 11:41 AM (in response to Joel Loke)i presume that you can get online, and thus have no issue with your internet connection.
i would suggest you check first your incoming and outgoing mail servers on both accounts to make sure they are correctly set up. go to mail>preferences>accounts, select one account and in the accuont information pane check if your user id, password and incoming mail servers are correct. then below click on the outgoing mail server, drop down the menu to edit server list, then go to both panes account info and advanced and check the server, and the port. make sure all that info is correct as per your email provider for one account and then the other.
second, if the above is correct but you still cannot send or receive, go to your keychain access app in applications/utilities and check if you have the correct passwords there for each account and/or if you have duplicates. correct and/or delete duplicates if need be.
finally you may have to play with the ports for incoming and outgoing as per above, as maybe your isp may be blocking one port or another.
hope this helpsMacBook Pro 2 GHz Intel Core Duo, Mac OS X (10.5.1), Mac Pro Dual 2 GHz Power PC G5 10.5.1, iphone 8gb 1.1.2, ipod classic

As for the school issue, I contacted the IT department and they gave me the server and security info.
