Ever since Tuesday's update my father, brother, and I have all been experiencing hiccups in playback of any media (music and video imported or purchased through iTunes) in our iTunes libraries.

Is this a common problem happening to everyone else? Any word of a fix or possible work-around? It's growing rather annoying to listen to my own music off my new Bose speakers

Yes, there are people having the same problem. I haven't seen any posting about work arounds. I am hoping for 7.6.1 to be coming soon.

    Hi there

yes I am having problems as well - also on ipods synced with the MAC the music is jumping - it thought it might be something to do with the itunes plus music i just bought but having read this it seems that problems are more widespread!!

just another quick update _ I have tried reinstalling the update for itunes and I am still having the same problem BUT only with the itunes plus tunes that I bought yesterday - all my standard files seem to be working fine (both files ripped from CD and purchased in the past from itunes - non itunes plus)

Don't know if this helps or not......

I have the same issue after upgrading to 7.6. I hope Apple will promptly address the issue.

Same problem here across several types of macs, MacBook MacBook Pro, and Mac Pro all showing the same symptoms of a playback problem. Most easily noticed in video playback where the video starts and a few seconds into the video it freezes, stutters, etc. on the macbook it freezes the longest and on the Mac Pro it freezes the shortest obviously the problem is eating up CPU cycles. These problems began after upgrading to iTunes 7.6 (29) after the keynote on Tuesday last week.
