Seems kinda sad that the new ipods are backwardly compatible with Windows, but not with Mac Os....
The iPod is compatible with the current Windows OS (Vista) and the previous one (XP).
It is compatible with the current Mac OS (Leopard) and the previous one (Tiger).
So, on that score there's no difference.
Any chance that a new software update will make the new ipods work with OS X 10.3 Panther?
Only Apple would know for sure, but based on my experience with iPods and non current OS, I would say no.iMac 20" 2GHz Intel Core Duo; 2GB ram;, Mac OS X (10.5.1), 750GB ext hd iPods:Touch/Classic/Video/Nanos.Older iPods©
