Hello all,

I have been trying both Apple Screen sharing in 10.5.2 and OSXVNC.

Apple screen sharing when connecting via a SSH connection seems to take 100% of my CPU. Anyone had the same problem?

OXCVNC seems very slow compared to Leopards Screen Sharing.

Anyone played with them both?

Thanks,

Rob

    hi wintersgrass,
i used osxvnc, and then switched to screen sharing... i just looked and screen sharing uses less than 1% of the CPU when nothing's happening... do you perhaps have something updating the screen constantly on the screen server? (maybe even the menubar clock?)

the only thing i see after a quick search is a possible issue when using chicken of the vnc as the client, but that's not what you're asking about...

you could try rebooting, repeating, and then once you see the symptom again, do you see anything in the console log (applications > utilities > console) at around the same time?

    cheers
