I went through several cases before settling on this one.

I've been using it since September with no tears nor has it become lose. It includes a flap that covers the earbud jack when not being used.

one URL - vajacases.com. I went through six cases...yeah I tried and bought a lot ($180+). None were even worthy of the name case. One case left my iPhone on the Small World ride at Disney Land, and the worst case, the Case-Mate Leather Holster Combo literally opened and dropped my iPhone on the road a good meter and half at 9.8m/sec! Don't use the Case-Mate cases, they work for about a month and then puke out. The Vaja case is expensive and takes a long time to get, but it's all worth it. The leather is beautiful and soft. The protection is superior, and the case thickness is half that of the Case-Mate solution. I can't recommend Vaja enough. Good luck!

I have bought at least 10 cases looking for the perfect one and now I have it -- the Otterbox Defender. It is a wonderful case -- protects every opening and they are not separate pieces like the iSkin Revo. I was reasonably happy with the iskin, even though I was afraid every morning that I had lost the piece that covered the charging slot. The Otterbox covers everything and that face cover truly is unscratchable. I had not had my case off since I got it. And Otterbox customer service most definitely is second to none. Trust me, you cannot go wrong with this case.

I 2nd the otterbox, it's a little different to get use to but once you do it's great. I have dropped my phone a few times and nothing has happened to it. If you are looking for solid protection then I would go with the otterbox. If you are looking for more of a normal case I would go with the iskin.

I'm also happy with the Otterbox Defender. Before getting it, I was fumbling the iPhone all over the place. The OB feels very secure and has a good grip (yet still slips in and out of jeans pocket with no problem. On my OB, the integral screen shield was sticking to the iPhone screen causing an annoying bubble. So I removed it and added a non-glare shield to the iPhone sold by Apple Store. This opens the OB up for contamination to enter but I'm very happy with the arrangement.

The other day I was at Apple Store checking out the Altec Lansing T612 dock for iPhone. I don't think the OB can go into this dock so I might have to retool my case setup if I get one of these docks.

    Good Luck

That's the case I have - it's the best case available and everyone at the Apple Store recommended it.

I have the Otterbox Defender case and it's been great. I tell everyone they should get one for their iPhone. I have not had any issues with it and the customer service is great.

    I second Vaja!

I bought 2 one for me and one for the other half and both are amazing. They look as stylish as the phone itself, keeps a lovely thin profile. The leather is soft as mentioned and has a really nice smell to it.

One friend who I showed it to compared it with a really fine wallet.

    So protection has been perfect.

Only downside is that they take around 6 weeks, but that is because each one is made individually to your spec.

I definitely recommend the otterbox cases for iphone. They've got defender series (water resistant) and armor series (water proof, but $20 more expensive). It protects against dirt, dust, shocks, bumps, drops, and more! The cases fits the iPhone really well too. You don't ever have to worry about the case breaking. But if it does, otterbox has a lifetime warranty on its cases (if you don't alter it in anyway that violates the agreement of course).

Get it from Semsons & Co. Inc. because they sell otterbox cases cheaper than the otterbox site. AND Semsons has free shipping promotion going on too. Save lots of money since you spend so much on the iPhone! Here's the site: http://semsons.blogspot.com (might need to scroll down a little).
