You can download New York in TrueType format from this webpage -
Although that download is for a TrueType version, the suitcase does contain a separate bitmapped file for New York 18 (just downloaded it and checked).
If Oregon Trail runs in Classic, be sure to place that font in the Fonts folder in OS 9's System Folder - Classic can't access fonts located elsewhere; however, OSX will be able to access fonts located in OS 9's Fonts folder.G4/500; G4/733; various OS's, Mac OS 9.1.x, DSL, enet
