If I open existing templates in Pages, they have a neat feature where if I click on a paragragh, the whole paragragh is selected and when I begin to type the whole paragragh is deleted showing only what I type. I want to create my own template with this feature but can't figure out how to get a line and/or whole paragragh to turn blue and dissappear. If I add a text box I have to double click or highlight the text in the box to make it dissappear. Is this something that can be done within Pages, because I'm not technical enough to mess with terminal and code.

The way to select all the text by just clicking on it is to highlight it, then click on Format > Advanced > Define As Placeholder Text. Any text that's in a text box or object will need two clicks -- one to select the object and another to select the text.
