Hello Apple ..... our phones do not work today. Pick screen, slide for emergency, not good as a phone or as a development machine.

sigh

Same issue here. Woke up this morning iPhone had the pink screen. XCode says iPhone has expired and to install a newer version of the OS. There is no newer version available online.

Ditto. I just tried a 'restore', but it didn't help.

This is annoying, as I use my Touch for listening to music, as well as for development/debug/testing.

Looks like a systemic problem that everyone is having; I can only assume a hastily-arranged new build will be delivered via the portal sometime later today.

Manager: Make sure you put the 90 day expiration in this build.

    Engineer: (Removes earbuds.) Whaaah?

    Manager: 90 days. Expiration!

Engineer: Okay. 9 days. Got it!

I don't want to chime in just to say me too, but, me too.

I feel like this is something microsoft would do (ehem, remote desktop for mac, ehem) - only their still works even after it "expires"...

    Hope nobody gets fired. :o/

Most people are still trudging through rush hour (if out of bed) in Cupertino.

Still, I have a solid day of coding ahead of me (finally) and this is squelching it handily, so... help!

I did notice that the latest build was quite a bit unstable. At times it even seemed to be spinning its wheels on the ActiveSync stuff quite a bit. Perhaps Apple pulled it because it was released too early to begin with?

Now my phone is showing 'No Service'

A few hours ago, i could at least receive calls ... now, it's a brick.

Yes, i read the teams of use (i know it can stop functioning as a phone without notice) .... but this is unacceptable. I'm in this program for the sake of my advancement AND Apple's success ....

Count me in too. My 8GB iPhone is also expired. Attempting a restore...

You cannot restore .... it will throw a 1015 error .... and kick you back to DFU.

I might have missed the error message. But you are correct, the restore did not work.

I don't have a problem with the expiration... Apple doesn't want 2.0 to get in the wild, and they definitely don't want an old bogus version to get in the wild. Plus it forces the developers to keep up and not pelt Apple with problems in older versions of the beta.

I think this is probably an out-and-out bug, where the expiration was incorrectly set in the build. I really do hope there's a new build available soon though; as an individual developer my only iPhone is now (temporarily, I hope) a brick.

Yep, me too. I understand that devices, once used for testing, MAY only be used for testing. However, I don't remember anywhere that it said it will be made unavailable for testing or anything else. Most annoying thing was when the alarm went off this morning all I could do was hit snooze, until I actually woke up and realized I had to turn the phone off. Guess that's one way to make sure I'm up in the morning.

Well, I've downgraded to 1.1.4 after several attempts at re-installing 2.0, recreating certificates, etc.

Somehow my sync backup got hosed, so starting over from that point, but at least the phone is back up and running.

It will be a while before I use my iphone for development. Maybe an iTouch is in order or a refurbished phone.

No 'anonymous Internet rants' here either, just reporting the issue. I understand that I installed controlled beta software and I have full confidence Apple will address this issue, hopefully quickly.
