I inexplicably lost the entire contents of my address book. I did search through Spotlight using the name of individuals in my address book to see if I could recover any info.

I found that the names of each individual are located in a folder entitled 'Meta'. Each individual name card has been renamed. An example of a namecard -

E84C3FA6-6CBA-430A-AA06-97EFF48714D6/ABPerson.abcdp

This 'meta' folder looks like it is in a folder entitled "com.apple.addressbook"

Any ideas on if it is possible to recover the contents of the address book?

Thanks!

I just ran into the same problem today! Last night all was working well. Autofill was working for me to address emails. Last night, before powering down, I said yes to software updates. This morning, ALL my address book contacts are gone! Only the group folders remain, but they are all empty. What happened?? Can I undo the software update?? I checked to see if it was all still out on .Mac but it seems the last sych was Nov 07. I had a huge address book. Help!! How do I get it back??

Will running Disk Warrior likely get my address book data back or will that cause me to lose it?

Disk Warrior should not make it any ,ore dioficult to get them back, and stands a slight chance of getting them back.
