I am used to imovie6 - I am trying fade out a music piece and I can't get it to do so in the middle of the music piece. I have been working with the audio adjustments, etc but there is no change at all. HELP - don't like this version at all

any help would be appreciated

You cannot rubberband audio in im08, if you want the audio to reduce because of audio in another track, try using ducking.

So basically, iMovie08 added the new video editing interface but removed all the iMovieHD audio capabilities. I'm having the same issue where I'm actually back to using iMovieHD instead of 08 cause I create a lot of music videos where I need to remove parts of the audio of the video tracks themselves and have the capability where I can visually see the audio track I can add as a "b roll".

Can anyone confirm that this capability only exists in Final Cut Pro now and iMovieHD (of course if you can't afford FCP)?
