Jun 3, 2008 7:09 AM in response to hillmoreby Grant Bennet-Alder,I was fishing for a beige Mac with a built-in SCSI port, or a Mac with a PCI slot \[into which you could plug a SCSI adapter]. You don't sound like you have either, so there is no obvious "no cost" or "low cost" solution.
At one point there were some FireWire SCSI adapters available to hook up a single SCSI drive. -

More and more, the best suggestion is to find a user group in your area to make one time transfers. Where in the world is 'Carmen San Diego' or your iMac for that matter? Post back with a city and we might know of a resource near by.
In the NW, Seattle has the best options. Just mentioned them here
