Currently Being ModeratedJul 11, 2008 12:12 PM (in response to jeffofla)I'm having the same problem.. I can install apps from the desktop (itunes store) but not from the mobile version.. I just get a darkened version of the app icon with an empty progress bar and the word loading below..
the bad thing is that it there doesn't appear to be a way to remove these apps which are in some sort of limbo stateMacPro 8-Core, Mac OS X (10.5.4)
Currently Being ModeratedJul 11, 2008 12:56 PM (in response to jeffofla)I'm having the same problem. Updated to 2.0 around 11am, downloaded a bunch of apps, everything worked great. But a couple of hours later, none of my downloaded apps work (with the exception of Morocco.) The rest load a blank titlebar and/or some of their basic UI for a second or two, then kick me back to the desktop.
Apple Remote, Yelp, MLB.com At Bat, Facebook, Pandora, and a few others all stopped working for me. Tried on EDGE and two different wifi networks, rebooted phone, etc.MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.5.4), Original iPhone, iPhone 2.0 firmware

Brand new 16gb iPHone.
Installed a few apps...it worked great...a few hours in...bye bye.
Wasted 10 bucks on a game that wont run now.MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.5.2)
Currently Being ModeratedJul 12, 2008 5:55 AM (in response to Feejer)I guess its time to remove the free stuff one by one...
But there is no way i am losing the 10 bucks I spent on a game.....they have enough of my money already.MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.5.2)
Currently Being ModeratedJul 12, 2008 7:03 AM (in response to mdewb)The fix mentioned in this thread worked for me:
1. Reauthorize iTunes (Store > Authorize Computer)
2. Make sure apps are in your iTunes library (either sync the phone, or download them through iTunes)
3. Delete apps from phone (optional)
4. Resync phone
My apps are useable again!MacBook Pro, G4 Mini, iBook G3, Mac OS X (10.4.8)
Currently Being ModeratedJul 12, 2008 7:34 AM (in response to mdewb)Here is the issue as it stands and the FIX!
1. The 3g iphone shipped with iPhone1,12.05A345.
2. When restoring from iTunes 7.7 you get iPhone1,12.0_5A347Restore.
There in lies the problem. If you installed apps at 5A345 they dont work in 5A347. Simply delete the apps and reinstall them. Furthermore, iTunes remembers what you have purchased and thus the purchased apps are available for free download after the restore.
Worked for me thus far....MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.5.2)
Currently Being ModeratedJul 12, 2008 8:11 AM (in response to jeffofla)i got this working for me anyhow. i have a first gen iPhone, running 2.0 of course. initially some apps would not run, briefly starting to open, then flashing black, and going back to the home screen.
i deleted an app, and reloaded it from within the phone's app store (i had originally downloaded from my computer and installed via sync). then i was asked to verify my apple id registration on the phone, verify my password for .mac/mobileme/apple store or such.
that then fixed that app, and other one that i had been having trouble with.MacBook Air, Quad Core Tower, iPhone 2g, Mac OS X (10.5.4)
Currently Being ModeratedJul 27, 2008 11:31 PM (in response to jeffofla)My apps were also flashing off and going to the homepage. Then I noticed that Itunes was not synching iphone apps (all of which I downloaded via Iphone and not through Itunes). Following suggestions in this and other threads. Here is how I finally solved this problem:
1) Open Itunes and select: Store-Authorize computer
2) Connect Iphone to computer and select: File-Transfer purchases from (your name) iphone
3) Then synched phone & (VOILA !) all my apps obtained via the iphone transferred into Itunes Library-Applications (after a nearly 1/2 hr synch & back up process)
Checked apps on phone and most now work fine, at least for the time being.
Would recommend reading: Article: HT1977 "Syncing Applications from the App Store" (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1977). In there, it clearly states: +"If you delete an Application from your iTunes library, the next time you sync your iPhone or iPod touch with that computer it will be removed from the device. If you delete an application from your device, but not from your iTunes library, it will be synced back to your device the next time your connect to iTunes."+
I know I've repeated what others have said, but I hope this helps.Macbook, Mac OS X (10.5.2)
Currently Being ModeratedJul 28, 2008 1:54 AM (in response to Sharone Abramowitz)This may be a fix for you - but I am doing this already and the apps are still going down one by one. Last night the google toolbar and last.fm apps stopped working (3 second pause then back to the home screen) and now all other 6 downloaded apps do the same thing.
I think judging by all the posts on here and other threads there is a serious problem that needs rectifying.iMac Core-Duo 24", Mac OS X (10.5.4), ipod classic, iphone 3g, powerbook G4
Currently Being ModeratedJul 28, 2008 2:01 PM (in response to Kiscokid)I downloaded several applications from the App store onto my Iphone 3G and all worked well for a while. Last week, certain applications stopped working - a few seconds after clicking on them, it'd return back to the home screen. Deleting and re-installing the application seemed to work.
The problem now is that the native Photos and Camera application suffer from the same symptoms. Obviously I cannot delete these applications! All other app, including 3rd party ones seem to work fine.
Resetting the phone via the Home button and lock key does not fix this issue for me...Mac Book Pro, Mac OS X (10.5.4)
