I don't really agree with the waiting to update thing. I mean, if you have critical updates you need to submit them ASAP because all waiting a month does is make your users wait 6-7 weeks instead of 2-3.

You can disagree all you want and we all do but I think one lessons learnt is that the Apple market place is not an UAT playground. So waiting 15 days before posting updates helps me prepare my change and prioritize my updates before and test before I release. This is called change and release management. The issue is that some of us do this and the release is stuck on the dirt road. Apple need to change the dirt road into a highway and quickly. I trust them it is why I develop and sale my Apps with Apple, they will fix the issue we all complain about pretty soon (I believe to keep me smile .

Hopefully it will be soon because customers patience is not an asset and if they fail not only the developer will go somewhere else but the customer too. Nothing I can do but share the queue

Well, today my status went from "In Review" to "Pending Contract" in just 4 days (submitted on Monday 21 of July).

Could this take another 4 days? All the contract info is filled and has a green checkmark...

Do they still send email when the status changes or do you just have to keep checking iTunes Connect?

Try another 10+ days. I submitted my contract on July 13th and my app is still "Pending Contract". It changed to that status on July 15th. How long has your contract been in "Setup in Process" status?

Since the day I joined the program, I believe it was July 13th. However, my tax info wasn't filled until 5 days ago...

    Folks,

I got my Activation Code but don't know what to do now. Clicking it just goes to the iPhone Dev Center page.

Where is the info on how to get to iTunes Connect, submit the app, etc.?

    Thanks for any info.

To go to itunes connect, you have to visit itunesconnect.apple.com. There you enter your developer username and password, and you're away.

    Hi,

Did any of you guys get an email stating "Your application, ???, is requiring unexpected additional time for review..." ?

    What does it mean ?

If you did - any of you finally did get approved ?

    TIA

i did.. oddly, it was less than 12 hours after i uploaded my app, so it makes me a bit worried that this one may take longer than the week turn-around that i've been experiencing so far.

I uploaded my app on Oct 26, and got the message about unexpected additional time to review on Oct 28. Now it's Oct 30, and I'm guessing it will probably take 2 weeks now.

Same here - unexcepted additional review time. I received the mail on the 27th. And still - there's no light about why they need more time and when.
I fully understand that they have a lot of ground to cover right now - it just would be nice to actually know if there is a problem with the app (technical, ethical or whatever) or if they are just short on manpower and thus send out this mail to signal a long queue.
However - always consider that it must be pretty hard for the Apple QA guys right now. Keeping up with reviewing more & more apps that get more & more complex. I definitely don't wanna be in their shoes with currently 5000+ apps in the store...

What was the end result of this? For the first time we got the same email from Apple which we've never gotten before and I'd like to know what to expect.
