Has anyone else noticed after upgrading to 2.1 that GPS no longer works in google maps. I get the Cell Tower fix but it never locks onto the gps.

Works for me and faster then before. Turned off my wifi and was using only 3G, started google maps, got the blue dot in under 10 seconds.

But i can say, standing in our parking lot, with the case off, I got location in under 10 seconds as well... Now if only i could get it with the case on and in a moving car....

I am having a same/similar experience. After 2.1 my GPS no longer works while the phone is on 3g. The map app and any other app using location services will say "unable to locate" this happens even outside. When I turn off 3g the location services work perfectly. Turning 3g back on has allowed the GPS to work about 50% of the time, but not enough to call a true feature of the iPhone 3g since it rarely works with 3g on.

Mine works better now than before, but I had to manually turn location on in settings first--before the update, when I went to maps, it asked me if I wanted to turn it on, and then it just did. Not this time.

Don't know why this worked for me but it did. After 2.1 update my GPS when clicking on Maps was very slow and would take forever to get down to the dot. I happened to go into Settings then General then Reset and selected Reset All. Once the phone re-booted it was fixed. I do not know if this will work for you but it did for me. I did not loose any data.

Well I bet that reset work is do to you had directions load in it from one place to another and for some reason the map was loading to that start..

Once I cleared them it was fix for me kinda weird bug.

    Hope this helps
