Currently Being ModeratedOct 5, 2005 1:25 AM (in response to Cyclocross)Yes, there is an easy way to play podcasts sequentially.
Drag your podcasts from the podcast area of itunes, and into the main library. Then set up a Smart playlist with the following conditions;
1. genre = podcast, and
2. play count = 0.
Select the Smart playlist on your iPod, sit back and enjoy uninterrupted podcasts.
There have been extensive discussions in this forum about the update. It is possible to roll back to the previous version of iTunes if you prefer the older version. (I haven't had to do this myself, so I won't pretend to know how to do it, but many Experts have given advice in these discussions and it would be worth a search if the Smart playlist idea doesn't fit the bill.)
Currently Being ModeratedOct 7, 2005 11:09 AM (in response to Sue Marsh1)This doesn't work. All of my podcasts have a play count of 0. I don't know why this is but it is. I suspect that podcasts don't show as played unless you've listened to every single last second of them. I usually hit the next button in the final few seconds when the closing music/credits play.
I did do a smart playlist of
1) genre = podcast
2) checked = yes
Only problem here is I have to manually uncheck each podcast after I've listened to it. Annoying but still better than the way they're now being handled.
