I can't help you get the number back, but I can sympathise, because it's something that happens to me regularly. I'll save a new contact, then it'll disappear. Not every time, though. Probably one in ten.
I get the same with iCal events, whether it's creating a new one or changing the time on an existing one. Again, not every time.
On top of that, it won't automatically fetch my Gmail anymore, it'll only download new messages when I open the Mail app.
There appear to be lots of little bugs present on the iPhone 3G. It's frustrating.MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.5.4)
So might this be a cloud issue? I have mobile me because of the ease by which you can sync things. But if they don't actually save, then wth is the point? I got burned hardcore on this one since this was a new contact and I don't have a way to get in touch with them otherwise.
Yeah, it's a social thing... but imagine if I were in business and this was a big potential contract.
Anyone else have any ideas?Dual G5 2.0, Mac OS X (10.5.5), for my iPhone, not the desktop
That *****. This is what I do....enter it in the dialpad, press send, then end the call immediately...this way, it's saved under recent/dialed calls.MacPro 17, Macbook 13, iPhone 2G, Mac OS X (10.5.5), Just smart enough to be dangerous...
I'm having the same issue and it is driving me insane. The second time I save the contact, it will save. I don't understand at all.
Another note: I thought that it may be related to the sync with the computer, but this has happened with my computer asleep. So it's either a MobileMe cloud issue, or an iPhone issue. Has anybody had this happen who doesn't have MobileMe?
I've tried the following to no avail:
- Reset the sync history between the computer and MobileMe and replace content on the COMPUTER with content from MobileMe
- Restore the phone
- Delete the MobileMe account from the phone and set it up again
I think I'm going to try resetting the sync history between the computer and MobileMe, but then replace the content on MobileMe with the content from my computer. Maybe it will overwrite some sort of corrupted file.
If anyone has any ideas they would be greatly appreciated!MacBook Pro 15.4" ... 2.16 GHz ... 100GB 7200RPM, Mac OS X (10.5.5)
