I have just received my 60GB Black 5th Gen and performed my first synch with iTunes.

Looking at the iPod, there is a Playlist under Videos|Video Playlists called "Purchased". This seems to be songs with and without videos (i.e. all of my purchased videos are there, but there are a host of non-video songs). I can't tell if it's every piece of iTunes Music Store music, and the playlist doesn't exist within iTunes, just the iPod.

Can someone perhaps tell me wht this is?

Thanks.

David

On my iPod, that menu has a playlist called Death Cab for Cutie, because it's the only album I've purchased from the iTMS that had video content. But, sure enough, in that list is the entire album (including the non-video content).

    Strange...

I actually have some mp3's I loaded that don't have any artwork and still show up in the video playlist.

The Purchased playlist you see is from iTunes. It's the green "Purchased" playlist listed underneath the Music Store entry. You may need to click the triangle in front of the Music Store entry to see this playlist.

    Right.

Now, if you don't want it to show up as a video playlist, simply remove all the videos from that list. One video makes it a "video playlist"
