Q: MultiMediaImporter.oxygene pops up in dock when launching DVD Studio Pro

When installing Multibridge Pro 6.1.1 through 6.7 on a Mac Pro with Mac OS X 10.5.4, QuickTime 7.4.5, and DVD Studio Pro 4.2.1, something strange happens.

When opening DVD Studio Pro, two additional folders appear and start jumping up and down in the dock. Both folders are named "MultiMediaImporter.oxygene", located in "DVD Studio Pro.app/Contents/PlugIns"

The problem goes right away when uninstalling Multibridge Pro (6.6.1-6.7).

I tested this with QuickTime 7.5 too, and the problem was the same.

Seems like this is either a problem with Leopard, DVD Studio Pro, or Multibridge Pro. Most likely a combination, but I think I would blame Blackmagic.

Have you had the same problem?

Have seen a couple of threads here on Apple Discussions...

... and I do not think editing the Info.plist seems like a good solution.

MacBook Pro 17-inch, 2GB, 250GB 5400 rpm, Mac OS X (10.5.4), QT 7.5, Final Cut Studio 2.0.4

I'm seeing this same issue. Has there been a clear solution to the issue? It doesn't appear to be effecting my ability to use the app, and they go away after I close out DSP4, but it's annoying because they bounce up and down for 20 seconds and I have no idea what they are related to.

I don't have Multibridge Pro and I had the issue since upgrading to Leopard. In my case the two "apps" do not respond after they show up.

    Hi,
    (Hei )

Same thing started to happen with my setup after I installed a Kona LHe card.

The folders do settle down in the dock after a while, so I can live with them. They dissappear again after quitting DVDSP.

Hi, I got the same problem but at the and I solved it. Basically the problem is that the DVD SP plug-in can't load "some" of the codecs present in the /Library/Quicktime/ xxxx.component

I removed the Elgato Turbo.component and the problem was solved. I think that this component try to validate finding the hardware required hanging up.

    Hi,
i have the same 'problem', as soon as i launch DVD Studio Pro (4.2.1), i get these two folder-looking apps. in the activity monitor they show up in red (unresponsive).
I am actually not sure its a problem, since everything seems to be working just fine, except another process, UserEventAgent, which is unresponsive as well. I don't know if it is related.

I narrowed it down to the file "AJAUncompressedCodec.component". When I remove the file, the folders no longer appear. I do need the AJA file and the folders don't bother me, so ...

I just noticed this problem tonight on my mac pro. I have the Intensity HDMI card installed. I am guessing this is the problem? I guess there is probably no way around this without removing the Intensity software/drivers?
