3 = no good banks/No RAM banks passed memory testing

Dec 30, 2008 4:50 PM in response to Texas Mac Manby jLawNC,Immediately went to the RAM modules, removed two, tried no joy; moved that module, tested and booted; added in other modules one at a time and all now recognized; Great!!
Now why did this happen? Modules seemed to be tight. -

Dec 30, 2008 5:57 PM in response to jLawNCby Grant Bennet-Alder,The approved procedure is to press the tiny reset button (near the battery) after making any hardware changes. If you do not, Hardware changes are sometimes not recognized correctly. RAM is especially wacky because the address lines on the memory controller are shifted to accommodate different sized modules in different sockets. -
