I know I can like sync my old computer to the macbook to watch the shows but i want to physically have them on my macbook without having to do that

    We'll need more information to be helpful. What kind of machine is your "old" one? What do you mean by "sync"? Normally syncing two machines or sets of file results in an identical set of files on both, so, in this case, that would solve your problem.

    If the files are TV shows or movies purchased from the iTunes Store, you would simply need to copy the files over to the Mac (either via ethernet cable, via a USB hard drive or memory stick, or via optical media) and authorize the new Mac to play them (you'll be prompted by iTunes).
