My mother has dial up Earthlink. She just bought a brand new desktop Mac with Leopard. She can get her mail through the mail client at her address, but when she goes to open Safari, the error message reads "can't find server" no matter what URL she tries to open.

Question:
1) What can I do with Safari (we must be connected to the internet as she can download her mail)?
2) She will be switching at the end of the month to Earthlink Lite which is through our cable company. Will switching to cable solve the Safari problem do you think? Should we just wait until then?
