Q: More than one device controled via radio remote at the same time

Hi,

for watching DVDs on my MBP I usually hook up my iPod HiFi to the audio out of the MBP. I would like to use the radio remote to control front row, but hitting up and down on the remote also changes the volume on the iPod HiFi at the same time. Is there any way to disable remote support for the latter?

The iPod radio/remote is for listening to FM radio via the iPod. I think you are confusing this with the remote that controls the Front Row on your computer and also is identical to the one that is supplied with the iPod dock.

The only way to stop this remote from controlling more than one device at a time would be to move one of them so that the infra red receiver is out of the line of site of the remote or blank the receiver with a piece of tape. Not ideal.

There is no way to disable one of the devices so that the remote only controls one of them.
