I want to change the runners section to Cycling. I can do that for each place where "running" "runners" occurs except in the two lower sections where runners appears after step one and step two. Any suggestions on replacing Runners with Cycling?

IMAC, Mac OS X (10.5.4)

    Rustyf,

In the sheets panel at the left, double click on the table name "Step 1: Running Log" and change the word "Running" to "Cycling". This will change the title of the table. Repeat for the other table.

    drparikh,

Column B of the table "Workouts" is a pop-up menu, so in order to revise or add to the list you must select column B, then go to the cells tab in the inspector and add additional activities there.

It appears that you must also manually add your activity to column A of the "Workout Summary" table, then unhide column D in the "Workouts" table and add a fifth segment to the formula similar to the first four. I leave this as an exercise (pun intended) for you, but don't hesitate to ask if you run into trouble.

You will also have to copy down the formulas in columns B and C of "Workout Summary" with a manual modification in B. Good Luck!

A simple search brought up this page as I was having nearly the same problem as drparikh, but I was wondering if you could help me out with one small issue that's sprung up; after using the changes you offered, now when I add a row in the "Workouts" table, column D doesn't bring the formula with it, meaning I have to enter it each time, whereas before it appeared to automatically copy that formula.

This is really my first foray into spreadsheets and Numbers so it might be a really easy and obvious fix, but I just can't see it.

Haven't looked at the template, so this is off the top of my head...

Select the last cell containing the formula in column D, Drag the handle that appears at the bottom right of the cell down to select column D in the rows you added. The formula should be added to each cell as it is added to the selection, and will be adjusted to be correct for the new location.
