So fed-up I decided to use an alternative... Have to say Wooji Juice's Stage Hand / Stage Manager solution worked first time - no problems what so ever. True - it's more expensive - but at least it works.iMac G5, Mac OS X (10.3.x)
Currently Being ModeratedJan 28, 2009 7:01 AM (in response to sapridyne)I had this problem when my MBP was connected to an ethernet network and I was trying to control Keynote over a private wireless network created on the MBP. It always worked fine when both the iPhone and the MBP were connected to the same wireless network.
The solution which worked for me was to make sure that internet sharing was enabled on the MBP when it was already connected to a wired network.
In other words: don't use the Create Network option in the Airport Menu, use Internet Sharing in the Sharing pane of System Preferences.
May be worth checking: hope this helps.MacBook Pro 15" 2.4GHz - 4GB RAM - 200GB HDD, Mac OS X (10.5.6), G5 PowerMac, G4 Powerbook 15" 1.67GHz, 2 x Mac Minis, G3 PowerMac, iPod Mini

But that's a showstopper, as I need to be on the Internet via airport as well as using the Remote Keynote app on my iPhone ...iMac, MacBook, ATV ++, Mac OS X (10.5.6)
