I went on a trip with my MacBook Air and on return to my home network my time machine with time capsule backups have been failing. Below is the log file extract. I cant seem to find any info around the error 26 that seems to be what is failing. Any help would be appreciated.

Same problem here. I have a NEW Time Capsule, and it has yet refused to make a complete backup. My logfiles show both the infamous error 26, and this also:

Feb 1 20:38:50 ivan /System/Library/CoreServices/backupd[6823]: Stopping backupd to allow ejection of backup destination disk!
Feb 1 20:38:50 ivan /System/Library/CoreServices/backupd[6823]: Stopping backupd to allow ejection of backup destination disk!
Feb 1 20:38:51 ivan /System/Library/CoreServices/backupd[6823]: Stopping backupd because the backup volume was ejected!

It appears as though Time Capsule refuses to stay mounted long enough to back up 100GB of data. This error is driving me round the bend...

After trying again, I get Error 19 as well, until I reboot the TC. Then it goes offline yet again. Any help would be appreciated. I've got two machines here exhibiting the SAME problem.

Anyone get this figured out? Did you run the 10.5.6 combo updater to see if it resolved the problem?
