Hope this helps others. I spent 3 days trying to figure out why my webpages went "all red" the first time I opened the 08 Domain file in iWeb 09. Trying to Publish did nothing but waste hours and bandwidth.

After tons of trial-and-error from different suggestions on message boards that didn't work I stumbled upon this fix that worked.

Click on the name of the Site in the left-hand column where all your Sites and Pages are listed. In the Site Publishing Settings pane on the right, in the Site Name entry field, change the name of your site (even just by one letter), i.e. I changed mine from BARP to Bartow ARP. Then Publish the whole site using the arrow icon at the bottom of the window. It took a long time since it was uploading a year's worth of site changes, but it worked. I guess iWeb 09 created a new folder on my iDisk and then created a new index.html file to point to the new folder.

Can't believe I spent three days trying to find a fix when all I had to do was change one letter in one field for it to work as designed.

Man I hope this works....I'm trying uploading yet again. I wonder if this screws up people's bookmarks though. If you rename your site you basically get a new address

It didn't work for me...I still get publishing errors - every single one on a different file. This time it was on a flat grey. I can't believe that Apple sent this piece of crap out in this state.

This did not work for m either. Over the past couple of weeks I have tried just about everything suggested on the 09 forum with no success. i can't publish anything new to my web pages with iWeb 09. So it is useless to me at present.

Finally i solved the issue of Publishing Error in iWeb 09 with MobileMe.

Procedure which i followed and might also help you guys.

Lets say your default site name is XYZ then create a new site e.g. ABC.

Thereafter dragged all pages from default site XYZ to new site ABC ONE BY ONE.

*In the preference folder delete any PLIST files related to iWeb (i had two files in my folder).*

*Once you drag all pages from your default site to new site there after just make a new blank page and publish the site.*

Then start dragging first one page from new site ABC and publish one page. There after repeat all pages one by one and publish after every page you drag from new site ABC to default site XYZ.

Once you finish then take a backup in time machine of the domain.

There after start your blog page then publish again then start photos album page, publish again then your movie page, publish again etc because these are the pages which were mostly creating errors.

After you complete the final page and publish remove the blank page and publish again.

I spent 3 days with the same problem and finally i could finish by this method in few hours.

I tried doing as you suggested, but hit a major snag. The blog file refuses to move when I try to drag and drop it. There doesn't seem to be any way to copy blog entries individually, and deleting the one that seemed to be bad just meant that it failed on the next one.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to move the blog entries?

Thanks for any help you can give.
