Q: Migrating from two computers to a new iMac, each on a seperate user account
My wife and I are about to purchase a new iMac and want to migrate our data over from our laptops. We are both currently running the latest version of Leopard. The catch is that we want two seperate user acconts on the new iMac, one with all of her data and another with mine. Is this possible to do with Migration Assistant? Can I run it on both accounts and retrieve the data from each computer? Can I do two seperate Time Machine restores? If not how can I do this? I figure someone out there knows what to do!
Powerbook G4 1.5 GHz 15", Mac OS X (10.5.6)

yes. You can tell Migration assistant to migrate only one account from each computer.
This is quite straightforward. just connect the first laptop by firewire , boot it in target mode and run migration assistant on the new computer to migrate what you want from that laptop. when done disconnect the first laptop and repeat with the second.
You can also migrate from TM backups instead of directly from laptops (again using Migration assistant).
