I have a file that appeared on my desktop. Since I'm "anti-clutter" I was wondering if it's safe to erase this file. Here's its name:

"Previous local iDisk for xxxxxxx.sparsebundle" where the x's are the name of my home folder.

Thanks

If you don't use an iDisk then you can erase the file.

If this icon appears suddenly on my desktop, do I have reason to be concerned? Why would this happen? I have never seen an icon appear on my desktop without me putting it on there. ?????

That file is created after you turn off iDisk Sync. Its the local copy of your iDisk that is no longer being used.
