I manage the birthdays in my address book using the field "birthday". This way they show up in iCal in a specific birthday calender. I cannot see this calender on my iPhone. All other calenders are visible.
Is there any way to display this calender too on the iPhone?

The Birthdays calendar should be transferred/available on your iPhone if you are syncing calendar events direct with iCal via the iTunes sync process, and you have all calendars selected to be transferred, or if you have selected calendars chosen, selecting the Birthdays calendar in the window below under the Info tab for your iPhone sync preferences.

If you have a MobileMe account that you are accessing with your iPhone, and you are syncing calendar events over the air with your MM account on your iPhone, the Birthdays calendar is not available when doing so.

I access my MM account on my iPhone and I sync contact info and calendar events over the air. I exported my Birthdays calendar in iCal on my Mac and imported the calendar events into a new calendar with iCal named B-Days. This calendar is available on my iPhone.

the export-import workaround did it! Finally I've got the birthday-calender on my iPhone!

Any idea how to get the birthdays added to contacts in the Contacts app on the iPhone to be displayed in the iPhone calendar when using a Window PC and iTunes?
