Q: Problem with rds in the zone Europe

Hi, I bought Apple Ipod Radio Remote for my Ipod nano I generation, a week ago. I immediately noticed that Rds works very bad and I don't understand why. My Ipod radio remote, because I live in Italy, is set on the Europe zone, but my Rds never gives me the name of the radio, but only rarely and after a lot of time gives me the informations about the radio. As I wrote informations, and not the name of the radio, and I don't understand why my Radio remote is working so. So I called the assistence and they said me to download the new software for Ipod, but in reality I had already downloaded it. So I have the software 1.3.1, but my rds doesn't work, what can I do now?
Thanks and sorry for my english poor because I'm Italian.

Unfortunately this seems to be a problem for us users here in Europe. The RDS function is erratic at best when the the radio is set to Europe. It seems to work better if you set it to USA, but the downside is that you can only tune the radio in steps of 2mhz which is not much use when many radio stations have frequencies ending in odd numbers.

It's a well documented issue, and has been noted in many reviews of the radio/remote. Hopefully Apple will address the issue with a firmware update (but I'm not holding my breath).
