Q: Want to bring a PB520c battery back to life

I've got a 520c with two apparently dead batteries in it.

The first time I plugged it in, I managed to get one battery to charge up a tiny bit, but since then no go on either.

I installed Intelligent Battery Recon and EMMpathy. I've given them both a shot, but so far no luck.

I know there's some processor governing the rechargeability and all, and from the EMMpathy documentation it looks like it has a small backup that needs to be charged first. Or something like that.

Anyway, getting to the point, does anyone know of any way to wake up the chip again so it'll let the battery charge (assuming it can hold a charge)? Or any other possible options for getting at least one batt going again?

Thanks

If those are original Apple brand batteries, you are beating a dead horse.

Expected life is only about three years -- much less if not kept at least half charged.

If you have a local Batteries Plus franchise, they may be able to replace the cells for a bit cheaper than a new battery.
