When opened motion I noticed that my library, inspector and file browser windows are not there. I clicked on the icon in the top right of my screen that should bring them up but nothing happens. I have searched every short cut to find how to bring them up but nothing.
Hopefully this makes sense to someone,
and i did try this,
i found on the forum

If you find that your Utility Pane (the window that contains the File Browser, Library, and Inspector) is gone and you can’t get it back, trashing your preferences file is sure to bring it back.

To do so:

1) Quit Motion.
2) Navigate to User/Library/Preferences
3) Locate com.apple.motion.plist and delete it

Restart Motion, and you should be back in business.

but i cannot find this file i think i deleted some time ago then i have the problen be for

Thanks Lee

if your preference file isn't where you think it should be, use spotlight or somethign to find it. it does exist. if you trashed it and used the program again, it will be somewhere.

I've tried to use my Spotlight to find my Motion preferences file, to no avail. Can't find it anywhere, and now can't use Motion the way I'd like to

    After quitting Motion...

    1. Hit Shift-Command-H
    2. Click on Library folder
    3. Click on Preferences folder
    4. Find 'com.apple.motion.plist' (list should be alphabetical so it shouldn't be hard to find) and drag to trash
    5. Restart Motion - everything should be fine now
