I am having a problem getting iTunes to resize correctly. This is a new problem that started after the iTunes 8.0 update.

I sync my iTunes library (the entire Music/iTunes folder) using Chronosync between my 24" iMac and Macbook. Before the 8.0 update, after using iTunes on the iMac, syncing and then opening iTunes on the Macbook, the iTunes window would be sized perfectly to fit the Macbook's resolution, no matter how large I had it running on the iMac.

Now, the iTunes window retains it's size when it was running on the iMac and the only way I can resize it (since the grabber in the bottom right corner is off the screen) it to minimize to the mini-player and then maximize again, but this still puts the bottom right corner slightly off the screen.

I guess my question is, does OS X allow for manually changing the window sizes (via a preferences file or such) without using the window controls?

Any help would be appreciated.

    Open "Script Editor" (should be in Applications/AppleScript/ folder). Enter the following and click "Run":

    tell application "iTunes"
    set bounds of window 1 to {100, 100, 500, 500}
    end tell

    Should fit on your screen then. You can muck with the numbers if it doesn't.
