Restart the computer then reconfigure all your Network preferences. See if that helps.Mac Pro 2.66 Ghz; MBP Unibody; MBP C2D 2.33 Ghz; MBP 2.16 Ghz, Mac OS X (10.5.7), iMac C2D 17"; MB 2.0 Ghz; 80GB iPod Video; iPod Touch; iPod Nano 2GB

So it looks like I've finally resolved it, after calling AppleCare and sitting on the phone with their AirPort folks a bit. This is what they had me do:
1. Boot in "Safe" mode to force a dynamic loader cache cleanup. (Hold down SHIFT key just after the startup chime. It may take a while to do the dir check and cache cleanup. Hit the restart button when you get to the login panel, or if you have auto-login, once you get to the Finder.)
2. Remove several network-related configuration files from /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration and restart:
(Note the similarity to Daniel Palmer's note above, but note the specific files.) I should add I didn't actually have to reconfigure anything after doing this since this doesn't wipe out the location preferences. However, things may be a bit different for you.
Let's see how it holds up, but it's working pretty well now.
Thanks all for your help and comments, and hopefully this note can help others of you with similar problems.

I'm having the same problem and want to try your solution however I don't know how to do step #2. Can you give me a little more detail on how and where to remove those files?
