I am tired of burning discs on idvd with a menu, and having to wait for it to encode and burn on the discs. How can I burn a dvd on iDVD to instantly play the movie once it's inserted in the player? If it's not possible, what are some other options for buring dvds to use that format for macs?

There is a way to have you movie play first without going to the menu. I don't use iDVD so I can't walk you through how that's done but I am sure you can search here or google it to find that answer.

That said, all DVDs MUST have a menu- even if you never see it. It is part of the DVD specification and there isn't a program that can get around that- otherwise it wouldn't be burning DVD compliant discs!
