Q: What SW is needed to create HiDef DVD's or BluRay's
I would like to create HiDef DVD's or BluRay's, more or less like what is possible with iDVD but in HiDef. What piece of software is needed ? Just Compressor or is more needed ? Can anyone help ? Thx

For very simple blu-ray authoring (one title, automatic menus) Compressor or the Blu-ray export from FCP will do the trick.
For slightly more advanced authoring (multiple titles, automatic menus) Toast 10 will do the trick.
For more advanced authoring (multiple titles, custom menus) Adobe Encore CS4 will do the trick.
No matter which program you use to author, you can do your encoding in Compressor (you can use MPEG-2 in Compressor 3 and MPEG-2 or h.264 in Compressor 3.5)
