My first Mac was an iMac DV+ (Indigo). Went to the Apple Support Community when I first got online and was astounded that there was a... planet-wide community of Mac people willing to offer help & advice for free. Quickly became an avid reader of Low End Mac.com and About this Particular Macintosh (now defunct but the website is still there). Have owned quite a few Macs since early 2001, even acquired a pristine Powerbook Duo 230 with Duo Dock, external CD-ROM drive and loads of software and manuals because the original owner simply threw the whole lot into a skip!
