BioMy first Apple computer was an "Apple II". Later, as a Model 204 database programmer for US West Direct, I used an Apple as interface to the mainframe.
Then, as a Product Mgr (then Marketing Mgr), I always received the latest top-end desktop AND laptop model each year. I was also part of a small team who determined which model Apple computers our 1,500+ regional employees would receive. Not all employees got a new one every year, but the team typically purchased of between 600 to 750 each year in our 14-state region.
Although I still program regularly, I no longer do so as a profession, but to assist in offshore cruising in my blue-water sailboat, "s/v Drifter". I still own several MacBooks, iPads, and iPhones. They say "you can't teach an old dog new tricks". But, considering the issues I've had recently, I am now seriously considering other options! Fortunately, my 2015 MBP (that I maintain for critical 30-bit apps) still runs flawlessly!Bio
