- Finding and removing Genieo...I think the title says it all . . .Opened my computer this morning to find that some app named Genieo was trying to run itself on my Mac. I am running Avast, but for whatever reason, the app can't remove the infected file. It's found under this file: /System/Library/CoreServices/MRT.app/Contents/MacOS/MRTI tried to open that folder, but I couldn't find anything related to Genieo. - Genieo VirusI got the Genieo Virus thingy. I used the uninstaller app like many forums said to unistall it.
