Safari Beta: Can not access Proxy server

When ever I try to access the internet from within our business network, I receive a prompt (as required) to be validated by the proxy server. As soon as I enter the credentials and hit enter, Safari Beta crashes.

Internally I know we are using LDAP authentication on our proxy so normally we do not see the prompts for validation unless there is an issue with the userID or passwords.

Also, within the Safari Beta I can not access the 'proxies' option in the preferences area.

Any ideas or workarounds for this?
