I can't update, unknown error occurred (-48)

Hi,
I am having the same problem. My network connection active and I can play itunes radio, safari, etc. But I have tried downloading the ipod software update six times, it downloads each time to the end and then gives the (-48) error message. The network connection seems to be active and okay for other tasks.

I rebooted the nano, freed up space - still the same error message. Any ideas?

More info - I have changed the timezone on the mac to PDT, restored the nano to factory settings and reloaded the original 1.1.1 software, the nano is now empty. I have toggled the hold button on top of the nano.

i am on the latest itunes (7.3.2 (6)), mac 10.4.9, have unplugged all other USB devices except keyboard and mouse.

I found the below post which solved my (-48) and 1453 errors while trying to update nano second generation software.

Follow the instructions carefully - including unplugging nano and restarting itunes.
