OT: how the heck do you pronounce "Aja?"

Being who I am, I've pronounced it "ah-zha." But I recently heard someone say "Asia."

This is keeping me up nights. I'm out of meds.

G5 quad, 6 gigs, 2x500, nvidia 7800, 2x g-raid 500, FC Studio, QT7.0.4etc, etc., Mac OS X (10.4.5), 4 other macs, various. 2 minute walk to the beach.

I had heard it pronounced A-J-A by several resellers, etc.

However, I asked one of their support folks on the phone and he told me they say Ah-Jah, so I'm going with that.

Acually, I've always done A-J-A. I find it doesn't leave any room for confusion.

I know several people who work for them, and they all call it A-J-A. I used to call it ah-zja until I spoke to them in person.

When was that, was he good back then?

He was great with Steeley Dan. Loved Katy Lied, Countdown to Ecstasy, Royal Scam though kinda thought it sad seeing him sit on that stool with the Doobie Brothers

Take a look at D Gilmore's 1st post to this thread and my reply to him.

According to John Abt, it's either Asia or A-J-A. He would know, since he founded the company.

Me, being who I am who typically doesn't care for or is willing to defy convention as well as recently changing medications, have always committed what many will view as abject heresy with regard to the pronunciation of AJA Video and Steely Dan's "Aja."

I have always said in the past and will continue in the future to say, "A-Jay."

I like to think that Donald Fagen perhaps smirks at this little defiance.
