Is my iPod irreparrable??

iPod was working fine. I left it in my car dashboard in the direct sun, in 90 degree heat here in ATL. Now when I start it gives me the "uphappy iPod" sign and says "www.apple.com/support/ipod." I can hear the hard drive inside trying to do something and it is loud. When I hook it up to the computer is says "very low battery". I have had it hooked up the computer now for 5 hours...no change in the message. The computer won't recognize it.

PLEASE HELP!! AM I SCREWED??
