favorites on youtube don't show on appletv

Do I have this the right way around? I have favourites on my Youtube account, and I have my username/password correct (at least appleTV seems to think it's logged in), but I get "No content was found". My favourites were things I added in YouTube on the web, not things I added from AppleTV .. does it work that way or will I only see favourites I've added FROM AppleTV?

Any other reason my content is empty?

I noticed a change in my Favourites within 1 DAY yesterday. For example, when YouTube was first enabled on the Apple TV there were about a dozen of my 200 favourites available. However, by the evening, more videos had clearly been converted and my list expanded. So, it seems that they're converting videos all the time, and your list of favourites will only get longer and longer.

Apple's lack of support is rather annoying. I shouldn't have to pay them to ask them questions about why their stuff is broken!

My YouTube favorites are not working either.

I signed in with my gmail address as my username, so I was wondering if this might be an issue. When I click on Favorites on the YouTube menu, it says "No content was found. There is a problem communicating with YouTube. Try again later."

But history, highest rated, most viewed, most recent, etc., all works. Rating a video works as well.

This is seriously dumb. What also ***** is that searching for answers either in Apple's support site or YouTube's gets you nowhere.

I have noticed the same thing...items in my YouTube account "Favorites" does not appear when logged into YouTube via ATV. While I understand the time issue of encoding the entire YouTube library to H.264, I would have thought that "account" info (i.e., favorites, history, etc) would be "real-time". Apparently not.

Its worth remembering that google owns youtube now. Now that they have a relationship with apple who have a relationship with music companies, I think it a fair bet that no copyrighted material or stuff like old music vids uploaded by users is ever going to be seen on AppleTV, infact I am willing to bet it, the promise that all youtube content will be on appleTV is just BS.

I like all the old Zappa stuff, but to date not one single iota of Zappa material is on AppleTV, there is literally thousands of vids.

Also the search on Apple tv makes no sense what so ever.

Also whilst I am here when I click to reply on these forums recently instead of it going to the dialogue box where I could begin typing it goes to the 'subject' bar with all the text selected, this is most most frustrating to the max!

Try adding this video to your YouTube favorites on YouTube.com. Then go to your Apple TV, log into your YouTube account and see if the video shows up in your Favorites. This particular video is one that has DEFINITELY been converted for Apple TV:

I'm having a lot of success with YouTube on my Apple TV. I have almost 300 Favorites on the YouTube.com website, and just under 100 of them are showing up on the Apple TV. So, it would seem they have about 1/3rd of their content converted so far, which isn't too bad. New content, videos uploaded to YouTube.com yesterday, are showing up on the Apple TV straight away. For example, there are many videos of the new iPods (uploaded on the 5th of September) which are showing up on the Apple TV already.
